Aviary Supports Cloud Based Picture Editing On Non Flash Supported Devices

Aviary Image Editor is an html 5 based web service that allows editing pictures even on those devices that are not Flash supported or do not have it installed. It is an even more feature rich photo editor than the previously reviewed Cloud Canvas. It provides anything from basic re-imaging to intricate effect options. Users can upload pictures to edit from not just their personal devices but also social networking websites like Facebook, Twitter and Picasa.

To be able to share and saveĀ  work, you must sign up with the Aviary webs service. You can either create a new account or login with your Twitter, Facebook, Google, Yahoo or Sound Cloud account. Logging into aviary will also provide you access to their other tools including the Aviary audio editor, vector editor, effects editor, etc.

 

To get started,you can import an image from the File menu. A file can either be uploaded from your system or a URL, Flickr, Facebook, Picasa and Tumblr account. Images can be rotated, distorted, flipped, Intuitive drag/ drop interface can be used and edited in layers such as a mask layer, flatten layer. It also contains many commonly used image editing tools like freeform selection, magic wand, paintbrush, paint bucket, shapes tool, text tool, blur tool, etc.

Saved images can be published (as private or public images) and shared across Facebook, Twitter, My Space, Stumbleupon, Digg, Tumblr and via a URL.

All saved images can be accessed and re-edited from the Creations tab of your account. You can also manage privacy and other associated settings for your images from this section.
