Ever since the initial release of Google+ there has been a lot of talk about the introduction of Google Plus pages. In the beginning Google started suspending accounts, which did not have a proper name, in order to ensure that people were unable to use their Google+ profile as a page, since this feature was to be released later on. Recently, Google finally provided the option to create Google+ pages. These pages are much like Facebook pages and allow you to popularize your product, business or brand with the help of the Google+ community. In this post I will walk you through the process of creating a Google+ page.
To get started, go to the link given at the end of this post or look for Create a Google+ page option at the left hand side corner of your Google Plus stream.
Step 1: Click Start Creating Your Page option.
Step 2: Select a category from the left side menu. The available options include:
- Local Business or Place
- Product or Brand
- Company, institution or Organization
- Arts Entertainment or Sports
- Other
Step 3: Finally, add a title, website URL (optional), privacy settings, accept terms and conditions and click Create.
Step 4: Add a tagline, select an image and start customizing your Google+ page.
Once your page has been created, you can start adding posts and share the page with people in your existing circles (via your Google+ profile).
