Puddletag is an application for Linux based operating systems like Ubuntu, Debian, Red Hat & Fedora for tagging, editing and auto arranging music and other audio files. It allows easily editing metadata information, adding a name, comment, title, genre, etc to the track and arranging, as well as renaming the track list automatically with appropriate numbering sequence. The supported audio formats include ID3v1, ID3v2 (mp3), MP4, Ogg, Flac), MPC, APE and WAV.
Just add a folder with your audio files and start editing or adding information from the Tag panel from the left hand side menu. . You can enter the artist name, title, album name, track number, year, genre, etc and use the buttons on the top to arrange files according to a proper name and number sequence.
You can install Puddle tag in Ubuntu and Debian by entering the below commands in a Terminal window.
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:webupd8team/puddletag sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get install puddletag
Fedora and Red Hat users can use these commands to install it.
(run as root)
yum install puddletag
yum --enablerepo=updates-testing install
