Revolutionary, S – OFF and Recovery utility, from Unrevoked and Alpharev is one of the most discussed topics among Android users. For those of you who may be unaware of “Revolutionary”, it is a one stop utility to gain S – OFF on your device [unlock boot loader] and recovery. Once this hack is deployed on your phone, you will be able too root your device, use different ROMs, tweak with CPU speed and easily deploy custom kernels. One of the best things about this root is it’s easy adaptability, as users simply require plugging in their phone, ensure that the drivers are present and then follow the easy onscreen instructions to complete the job.
The release of this magnificent tool is a huge relief for HTC Sensation users, as other temporary rooting options that were previously available were quite frustrating to use. Furthermore, they were also not very sticky for gaining complete control of your device.
Below is a step by step guide to permanently unlock NAND write protection on your HTC Sensation and to gain S-OFF :

According to the developer, this tool for now is a “developer preview” and things can go horribly wrong. For those of you who are looking for something more stable, should wait until the Release Candidate or Final build mode. Step 1: Go to the Revolutionary IO portal, read through instructions and go to the Downloads Section.
Step 2: Click Download for Windows. This will start the Revolutionary Zip file download and a menu headed with “Beta Key” will appear.
Step 3: Select your operation system, device and HBOOT version.
Step 4: After the download is complete, extract the zip file on your PC (with all files present in the same folder).
Step 5: Download HTC Fastboot drivers and install them on your PC. Instructions for installing Fast Boot Drivers can be seen in the below video.
Step 6: Now, connect the phone to your PC, make sure USB debugging is enabled and remove any traces of HTC Sync from your computer.
Step 7: Double click Revolutionary to execute it on your PC.
Step 8: This will display a terminal window during the identifying process of the serial key of your device.
Step 9: Once the serial key is displayed, copy and paste it in the Serial field on the form present at Revolutionary.io website.
Step 10: Click Generate Key and paste the key at the relevant position within the terminal. It is advised that you should type it out to yourself in order to avoid errors or confusions.
Step 11: Wait while your phone gains S – OF and an unlocked rewritable NAND.
Step 12: Once the process is complete, you will also get custom Recovery installed on your phone. Flash the zip file from here to perma root your phone.
