Install ClockworkMod Touch Recovery On Samsung Galaxy S3 GSM [Video]

Development for Samsung Galaxy S3 has been rapidly moving forward and third-party developers have been avidly working on providing new tweaks and ROMs. Furthermore, we now have an official version of ClockworkMod recovery for S3. The credit for this feat goes to XDA member “mskip”. This official version of ClockworkMod Touch Recovery has been repacked into a tar file and can be easily flashed using Odin / Mobile Odin. This CWM version is 5.8.4.5 and if you have flashed files with Odin before, then you wouldn’t have any issues installing ClockworkMod recovery for S3. New users should also not have any issues with the installation of this recovery as the process involved is quite easy.

Step 1: To get started, put your phone in “Download Mode” by pressing the Volume Down+Home+Power button.
Step 2: Run Odin and ensure that everything other than Auto Reboot is unchecked.
Step 3: Hit PDA button and select the recovery (TAR) file.
Step 4: Odin will now setup. Connect the device to your PC with the USB cable and after you see it connected with Odin, press the Start button to flash the recovery.
Step 5: After recovery gets flashed your phone will restart and boot the OS. To ensure that  ClockworkMod recovery is properly installed, press the Volume Up + Home key + Power button and release the power button when the device displays the boot logo. This will take you to recovery mode.
