Multitouch Gestures in iOS 4.3 Demoed on iPhone

A YouTube video just surfaced that shows Multi-touch gestures for iPhone 4 and 3GS in action.  However Apple has confirmed that the gestures option for iPad (and possibly iPhone) wont be available  when iOS 4.3 goes gold. It might be released as a major feature for iOS 5 when it is introduced with iPhone 5 in June (2011).

New Update:

Since Multi-touch gestures have now been released, here are the instructions for enabling them.

Instructions to enable Multi-touch Gestures on iOS 4.3.1

Note: Your iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad must be jailbroken on iOS 4.3.1. Here are instructions to Jailbreak iOS 4.3.1

Method 1 – Install package from Cydia

  • Open cydia.
  • Go to Search tab, and perform a search for MT Gestures.
    Install MT Gestures.
Once done, go to Settings -> General and turn ON Multitasking Gestures.

Here is the video which earlier presented the demo for the Multi-touch gestures when they were first introduced. It must be noted that this post was originally written when the gestures were demoed. The information was later updated after the release of the Multi-touch gestures.
