Aero QLaunch Is A Stylish 3D Quick Launch Toolbar For Windows 7

Aero QLaunch is a stylish 3D quick launch toolbar for Windows 7 and Windows 8, which displays all programs housed within the quick launch folder, in the form of 3D bubbles, upon mouse hover. What makes it different from other default Windows toolbars, is its unique bubble icons, which are displayed with a mouse hover over the icon of Aero QLaunch  (located next to the system tray).

After installation, I found it a bit puzzling to enable Aero QLaunch. This is because there is no desktop or start menu shortcuts to launch it. To enable Aero QLaunch, right-click the taskbar select (tick) QLaunch from Toolbars menu (as shown below). Once done, a green icon will appear next to the system tray.

To display applications located within the Quick Launch folder,  hover your mouse over this green icon.

Clicking on the last bubble (3D flip bubble) in the sequence, displays all active windows with the Windows 7 3D flip.

Aero QLaunch is an unique quick launch toolbar,  with room for further improvement. For now, it provides some scaling options, which can be used to resize the bubble size, but they are restricted to merely three sizes. Moreover, there is no options to set precise applications for appearing in the form of bubbles, unless they are located in the quick launch folder. Some color and more advanced bubble resizing options will be greatly appreciated, along with the reduction in size of the Aero QLaunch icon (which appears next to the system tray). I would suggest the developer to try to make Aero QLaunch into a more universal application launcher, rather than restricting it as an alternative to Windows 7 and Windows 8 default quick launch toolbars.

Aero QLaunch is available for both 32-bit and 64-bit versions of the following Windows operating systems:

  • Windows 7
  • Windows 8
