Crisis Aversion Tool (CAT) is a portable software which helps users in resolving complex Windows issues in a single click. It provides a large number of fixes and solutions for Flash Player, Windows Shutdown, Internet Explorer, Windows Shell, USB Drives, checking a file for malware via Virus Total, and much more. CAT is quite a useful tool as it resolves complex issues within a simple Graphical User Interface (GUI) which eliminates the need to go through lengthy procedures such as manual registry setting alternations.
The Fixes tab provides the utility to:
- Fix broken links inside applications
- Fix printer installation issues
- Enable a Task Manager which may have been disabled due to some reason such as a virus attack
- Display USB drives which may not be visible
- Fix printer install errors
- Repair SSL, HTTPS and Cryptographic Services
- Fix Windows Installer
- Flush the DNS resolver cache
- Repair Internet Explorer
- Reset Windows Explorer Shell
- Reset all networking Interfaces
- Reset Permissions
- Reset Default services start states
- Reset Windows Update
Just select your required fixes and click on “Apply Checked Fixes” button to resolve the issue(s).
You can make a number of Windows adjustments from the Adjustments tab. These include:
- Decreasing menu show delay
- Changing the screen resolution
- Enabling Windows Installer in safe mode
- Fixing Flash Player problems
- Fixing Windows Shutdown issues
Likewise, the Miscellaneous tab allows:
- Taking ownership of files and folders which may have become inaccessible due to folder rights management configuration or viruses
- Looking up PCI database
- Uploading files to Virus Total for analyzing potentially infected files
The Live Log tab displays a log of the tasks that have been performed using Crisis Aversion Tool.
