GIGABYTE Touch BIOS is a free software developed by the GIGABYTE manufacturers for their z-68 motherboards. It is a GUI based software which allows easily configuring BIOS from within the native operating system (such as Windows) . You can either configure your BIOS setting using the mouse or by Touch Screen functionality. It even provides a screenshot button for taking a quick screenshot of any part of the BIOS. Touch BIOS is as easy to use as any common software. Some of the main features of GIGABYTE Touch BIOS include:
- Icon Based BIOS Settings:
Users can change voltages and CPU ratios using the Overclock icon, or monitor their system resources using the PC Status button.
- Easy Navigation:
Touch BIOS displays touch-friendly features such as large iconed buttons, clear fonts, enlarged navigation panes and wider side scroll bars.
- Customization:
Touch BIOS allows customizing the BIOS main page according to need. Users can easily rearrange icon order and delete unused ones.
- Access BIOS From Within Windows:
BIOS settings can also be accessed from within the native operating system to perform required configurations. The changes are applied at next system logon or at system restart.
In case you mess up the BIOS Settings while playing around with them, the changes are automatically reverted. This is so because, like all GIGABYTE motherboards, the Z-68 range has two BIOS chips, including a backup chip. The system will automatically reboot and revert to the backup BIOS changes in case of a misconfiguration.
