In this post I will provide you with a simple method to directly login to Windows 8 without having to enter a password. this process was quite simple in Windows XP but it was hidden from the Control panel in later versions.
See the below instructions to enable direct login for Windows 8.
Go to Search from the new Windows 8 Start Menu, select Apps and type netplwiz . This will display the user login management option or “netplwiz” option. Click on it to configure login options.
Alternatively, use the hit Win+R keyboard short key open Run dialog and enter netplwiz.
Select a user from the list and uncheck the checkbox which says “User must enter a username and password to use this computer” . Click Apply, OK to save the changes.
This will open a new window, enter the password for the selected user and click OK.
From now onwards you will be directly logged into your system without having to enter a password. The direct login screen will be the new Metro UI.
If you would like to disable the Metro UI in Windows 8, then see my post: How To Partially Or Completely Disable Windows 8 Metro UI.
