Previously I covered the Snow Transformation Pack, which transforms Windows 7 to the MAC Snow Leopard Look. The Lion Skin Pack is a similar skin pack for Windows 7, to make it look like Mac OS X. This transformation pack can be installed via a simple EXE file and does not require knowledge of complicated theme patching procedures. Just start the setup file and select desired options from the wizard to transform your Windows 7 into Mac OS X look.
Please Note: Such skin packs are difficult to uninstall and cannot be undone by a mere system restore to revert the changes. Before installing the Lion Skin Pack, make sure that you backup your computer to undo the changes (if required later on). Also make sure that User Account Control is fully disabled. For complete uninstallation instructions, see this post: How To Uninstall A Windows Transformation Pack.
To install this transformation pack, run the EXE file and proceed with the installation by clicking Next.
After that, accept the terms and conditions and click Next. If you would like to provide feedback to the developer, you may note down the contact information (of the developer) presented with the Terms and Conditions.
In the next step, you will be presented with the choice to install the UX Theme Patch, files and extra items (e.g. wallpaper, visual styles, DLL files, etc). Select all or some of these options to continue. For example, some people may prefer not to install a screensaver, wallpaper, etc from the pack. To check/uncheck these options, click the + sign to expand options tree and select/deselect items from the Files and Extras options. Click Install to start the installation process.
This will install the selected features on your Windows 7 machine to give it the Mac OS x look.
After the installation is complete, reboot your system for the changes to take effect.
