Make Any Window Transparent To View Underlying Windows With GhostWin

Do you flip back and forth between two windows because they’re overlapping or there isnt just enough space on your desktop? GhostWin can help you circumvent this problem. GhostWin allows you to make any program window slightly or completely transparent, and automatically adjusts the transparency level of windows that are being moved or sized so you can see what’s underneath them.

You can use GhostWin to change the transparency of Windows to see underlying processes during work 9such as keeping an eye on a video conversion process).

The main interface of GhostWin is quite simple. You can select options to make windows transparent when you move or resize them, view the console at system startup and to start, stop or hide  GhostWin.

To make a window transparent, right-click on a program’s header and select a transparency level. In case you have hidden the console, you can bring it back from the “Show Console” option.

To return to normal opacity, you can either change opacity level or select Un-Ghost from right-click menu.

Underlying windows can also be conveniently identified while resizing or dragging the current Window.

GhostWin works with

  • Windows XP
  • Windows Vista
  • Windows 7
