Nirsoft website has showcased a number of useful applications for recovering password, fixing PC and network issues, etc. All of these software are provided free of cost and have been developed by a developer named Nir Sofer. Nirsoft suite, known as NirLauncher is a lightweight application suite which contains several useful software for resolving a number of system issues. The entire suite is only 10MB in size and all software within the suite are portable. NirLauncher interface is divided in 13 tabs, each of which can be launched by simply double clicking on them. This suite contains software of the following categories:

Each program is accompanied by a description, version name, version update, date and a webpage URL which can be clicked on, to get redirected to the developers webpage for the selected software.
Password Recovery Utilities tab contains software for recovering browser, remote desktop, dialup and other network connection related passwords. For example, you can launch the PasswordFox software to recover your Firefox passwords.
Network Monitoring Tools contains application such as Wireless Network Watcher (which can be used to Find Out Who Is Using Your Wireless Connection & Identify Intruders). Similarly, other tools can help you monitor network latency, check open ports, identify network vulnerabilities, ping active hosts and much more.
Web Browser Tools section are mainly meant to retrieve browser history, cache data and downloaded content. For example, you can use MozillaHistoryView software to retrieve saved videos in your Mozilla cache which were saved when you were streaming them online (e.g. a copy of watched videos from YouTube saved on your hard drive).
Video/Audio related Utilities includes programs for installing codecs, retrieving video cache, capturing flash video file streams and adjusting volume control settings.
Internet Related Utilities are meant to perform DNS and IP related lookups and are more like network utilities.
Command-Line Utilities, provides GUI based applications for performing simple commands such as obtaining wireless network information or performing a Who Is lookup.
Novice users may find the Desktop Utilities to be more useful since this section includes programs, such as, an uninstaller, special folder viewer, shortcut and clipboard manager.
The Outlook/Office Utilities tab can help MS Outlook users to extract multiple attachments, get Outlook stats and get information about installed Outlook add-ins.
Programmers Tools (DLL Export Viewer, GDI View, Device IO View and HeapMeView) are meant to help programmers.
Disk Utilities for searching and managing hard disk content. For example, SearchMyFiles is an alternative search tool to the Windows search utility. It helps users lookup files and folders quickly from within Windows.
System Utilities provides software which are meant to help you with battery, USB, registry, and other system issues.
Other Utilities contains some miscellaneous applications, while you can view all available apps in a single view using the All Utilities tab. It must be noted that some application are listed in multiple categories.
Note: Don’t be surprised if your anti-virus detects an application as a threat when you launch NirLauncher, as applications like PasswordFox are meant to help you retrieve passwords and for his reason they can be mistaken for malware. NirLauncher works on
