Share A Single Mouse & Keyboard With Four Different PC With Mouse Without Borders

Mouse Without Borders is a free software from Microsoft Garage which allows users to use a single mouse across four different PC’s as if they were part of one single desktop. Assuming you have have two PCs connected to 3 LCD screens and you are using Mouse Without Borders. In such a case you will be able to move a single mouse between the 3 screens, even though one of them is attached to a different PC from the other two.

You can also move files between two different computers simply by dragging them from one desktop to another. In fact this can be done with up to four computers from a single mouse and keyboard. To understand how to use this application, see the below screenshots and video.

Step 1: Install Mouse Without Borders on multiple computer that you wish to control with a single mouse and keyboard.

Step 2: Launch Moue Without Borders on a single system and click No, to generate a security code for your computer name. Make sure that you copy this information to connect other computers on the same network.

Step 3: Launch mouse without borders on another system and click Yes on the Welcome dialog box. Now, enter previously copied computer name and the security code you generated. This will establish a connection between the separate computers.

Mouse without Border functions from the system tray.  The Get Screen Capture from and Send Screen Capture to options are meant to enable sharing of screenshots between connected computers. Similarly, the  Personalize Logon Screen feature changes default login screen.
