Where to find the Smuggling Tunnel in COD DMZ
To begin the Smuggling Tunnels mission, head to the Stronghold, which is located between Zarqwa Hydroelectric and Al Mazrah City. This area is teeming with AI combatants, the majority of whom are wearing body armor.
There are several entrances to the Al Mazrah Smuggling Tunnel. You can enter via the well, or via the south side entrance. We recommend the latter because it will necessitate the use of a tactical camera.
You can also go straight into the Stronghold. There are no enemies inside the small house, but there is a ladder inside that leads to the tunnels. Going down the ladder can be dangerous because there are several AI forces waiting downstairs. Using smoke grenades before you descend is a good strategy. Similarly, you can use multiple frag grenades to damage enemies before taking them out.
It is best to use as many lethal pieces of equipment as possible when fighting the AI combatants in the tunnels. Try to eliminate the riot shield bots first because they will charge your teammates outside the tunnel. If you’re lucky, one of the bots will drop a UAV that you can use to reveal all enemy positions in the surrounding area.
How to place tactical cameras to monitor Smuggling Tunnel entrances
The most difficult part of this mission is placing tactical cameras at two of the Smuggling Tunnel’s entrances. The area is teeming with AI combatants, and you must eliminate all of them before proceeding. As seen in the image below, the first entrance is located at the well, north of the stronghold.
Drop down the well with the zipline and position the tactical camera in front of the Stronghold door in the tunnels. This will be your first camera placement, which you can track in the missions section.
Go to the south entrance of Stronghold for the second tactical camera. The southern side will have more guards, so be careful when you put down the tactical camera here. Do it right after you enter the cave door.
The third and final part of this mission is to extract in the same deployment. Explore and loot around the map to find another tactical camera, or just ask a teammate to choose one as their Field Upgrade. Since you have to set up two tactical cameras for this mission, it’s best to do it with a team. After you’ve put the two cameras in place, leave the area and go to the extraction point. To reach the third goal of this mission, you need to be able to extract.
