COD Modern Warfare 2: How to fix the error NIAMEY – LEE

What is the error NIAMEY – LEE in COD Modern Warfare 2 ?

NIAMEY – LEE is an error code that players are reporting will appear after installing the latest MW2 update. The bug indicates that players need to reset their rank and unlock due to corrupted data, but luckily there is a fix to the issue that doesn’t require you to lose progress.

Infinity Ward tweeted the fix themselves and said that a true fix will come in a future update. Until that update arrives, do the above every time you get the NIAMEY – LEE error message when you start MW2.

Although Infinity Ward said that the issue is now fixed, we’ve seen a few reports from players popping up on social media.
