Dredge Guide – How to find Arrow Squid

Arrow Squids inhabit the coastal waters of The Marrows during the day. You can catch them with any fishing rod designed for coastal waters (including the starting rod as well as the Flexible Fishing Pole, Anti-Tangle Line, Versatile Rod, and Harvesting Platform, which require purchasing research components) or with a net (Improved Trawl Net, Tempered Mesh Net, Large Trawl Net, or Heavy-Duty Trawl Net, which require spending research parts).

To bring in a diverse catch each time you take your boat out, you should have a variety of fishing rods and catching equipment. For example, just leaving the starting area (The Greater Marrows) on your first expedition will take you from shallow to coastal depths. Because one of the primary goals is to sell fish and maximize profits, being able to fish in all possible areas will increase your profits from your catch.

In order to catch rarer fish and more valuable deep-sea curios and hidden treasures, you’ll also need to research special equipment and upgrade your boat’s capabilities. Selling these discoveries to locals can lead to learning more about each location and upgrading the boat to reach even more remote locations.
