Roblox new rules

A recent rumor on social media platforms like Twitter and TikTok suggested that Roblox might introduce a dress code and new rules.

Is Roblox working on implementing new rules and a dress code?

There appears to be a new rumor circulating on Tiktok and Twitter that new Roblox rules will be implemented, potentially banning accounts who wear “revealing” outfits. Mini skirts, bikinis, crop tops, skirts, fishnets, and waist jeans are rumored to be included. According to our research, this rumor began with a series of tweets from the Roblox_RTC account, which is a news account that is not officially affiliated with Roblox.

The screenshots attached to the tweet show that no specifics regarding a dress code are mentioned. However, this reporting system appears to allow players to report other players for potentially problematic cosmetics that they may be wearing. Since there has been no official announcement, we know very little.

At this time, it does not appear that Roblox will be enforcing a dress code or introducing new rules that would require you to alter the clothing you currently wear. What the new Reporting System is ultimately put to use for remains to be seen.

About Roblox

Roblox is a Roblox Corporation online game platform and game creation system that allows users to program games and play games created by other users. The platform, founded in 2004 by David Baszucki and Erik Cassel and released in 2006, hosts user-created games of various genres coded in the programming language Lua. Roblox was a small platform and company for the majority of its existence. Roblox’s rapid growth began in the second half of the 2010s, and it has been accelerated by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Roblox is a free-to-play game with in-game purchases available via a virtual currency known as Robux. Roblox had over 164 million monthly active users as of August 2020, including more than half of all American children under the age of 16. Although Roblox has received generally positive reviews from critics, it has faced criticism for its moderation and microtransactions, as well as accusations of child exploitation.
