When will the Reaper mod for Destiny 2 return?

Reaper mod Destiny 2 return

The Reaper mod vanished from Destiny 2 as quickly as it appeared, and it’s clear that many players are wondering when it will return.

What exactly was the problem with the Destiny 2 Reaper mod ?

Something had to go wrong, as is customary with new Destiny 2 releases. In the case of Lightfall, the Crucible was the one to be broken. Some players discovered a unique way to use Reaper mods to obtain free orbs and unlimited supers.

To trigger this bug, you have to first activate the mod. According to the Reaper mod, after using your class ability, your next final blow will generate an Orb of Power. However, for whatever reason, you could make this happen multiple times. Then, with multiple Reaper mods equipped, you can activate the mod, cycle the mods on and off of your armour, and more and more Orbs of Power will spawn. This meant you could stand there and produce an infinite number of orbs.

When will the Destiny 2 Reaper mod return?

The mod had been temporarily disabled, according to an announcement from the Bungie Help Twitter account.

Unfortunately, no definite answer on when the mod might be restored was provided. Given that Lightfall was only released a few days ago, it’s safe to assume that Bungie is very busy right now, and disabling this mod was just the quick and easy fix needed for the time being.

We’re sure the mod will be fixed and reinstated, but we don’t know how long that will take. Given that this is clearly a bug rather than an exploit of an intended feature, it shouldn’t take long. Having said that, those of you hoping for free supers when the Reaper mod is reactivated are likely to be disappointed.

At the moment, that’s all we know about the Destiny 2 Reaper mod.
