Get All Kinds Of Widgets For Ubuntu Linux With Screenlets

New version of Screenlets has been recently released with app-indicator support and many bug fixes. Previously, I showed you how to get Ubuntu Wallpaper clocks with Screenlets. In this post I will tell you how to get the latest version and useful widgets using Screenlets.

Screenlets can be installed from the below PPA. Just open a Terminal window and enter the following commands:

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:screenlets/ppa
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install screenlets

Alternatively, you can use the PPA given below to install Screenlets with all widgets. However,doing so will install a large number of Screenlets (widgets).

sudo apt-get install screenlets-pack-all

To launch any widget, open Screenlets Manager and double click on a widget.

To get a list of installed Screenlets and to launch the, right-click on the system tray icon.

To customize your widget, use the right-click menu.
