Run-time error ‘374’: Failed to activate control ‘VB.UserControl

Question: Run-time error ‘374’: Failed to activate control ‘VB.UserControl

Run-time error ‘374’: Failed to activate control ‘VB.UserControl.
Running XP Professional, Office 2003 Professional and In-Site (dedicated caravan park software).
After supplying a new PC and reinstalling In-site together with the latest update for 2007 (v6) for Sage 2007 compatibility, I get the above error when trying to perpare certain reports. Prior to the update, it seemed to work ok – apart from certain addons required for reporting. Tech helpline say it’s a PC issue, but I have another identical PC with it installed , and it works ok. A work colleague says it’s possible a corrupt Active X issue and to download the fix from MS website, other than a full O/S reinstall…………..I’m stuck.

Solution: Run-time error ‘374’: Failed to activate control ‘VB.UserControl

A quick Google search using the title of the question shows that it’s unrelated to Access, even if an Access database is used in the application. Try asking this question in of of the the VB topic areas. Perhaps:

Good luck!
