Problem : I have a workbook that is reporting, “This file is locked. Try the command again later.” when attempting to save.
I have a shared workbook on a shared drive that reports, “This file is locked. Try the command again later.” when a user attempts to save. It is stored on windows server 2003, the workstations are XP SP2, and the excel is 2002. Any ideas on how to correct this?
Solution: I have a workbook that is reporting, “This file is locked. Try the command again later.” when attempting to save.
Well I ended up saving the document under a different name, moving the original, and then renaming the copy to the original. Everything seems to be ok with the copy.
