Voice Translator, as the name suggests is a translation app for iOS devices which provides instant text and voice based translations for several different languages. Voice Translator supports voice translations for 25 different languages and offers text based translations for up to 60 languages. Moreover, the app can speak out the translated content to give you an accurate idea of how each translated word is pronounced. All translated content can also be shared with other users via SMS or email.
To configure Voice Translator, hit the Settings icon from the top-right corner of the main screen (to enter the application’s settings). Voice Translator has separate toggles for the “Voice to Voice mode” and the “Text to text mode”, however you cannot use both simultaneously. After you have selected a preferred mode, choose your primary language and the language for which you require translations.
Voice To Voice Translations
To capture and translate speech on your iPhone or iPad device, hit the icon of the language (that is being spoken) and let Voice Translator capture everything. This will provide you with a voice translation and also transcribe it for you. Furthermore, the source speech will also be shown in text form. It is worth mentioning here that you will require internet connectivity to perform translations. As mentioned earlier, the available languages for both modes differ. Although, Voice Translator speaks out the translation only once by default, however you can hit the small speaker icon from the Options bar to repeat the translation.
