Kindle Fire Single Click Root, Recovery & Market Installation

Kindle Fire now has automated root, recovery and market installation. In an earlier post I covered the process of rooting the Kindle Fire, followed by another guide, which explained the procedure for installing Android Market. After a single click method becoming available, there is no longer the need of using these tedious methods. Any user willing to root their Kindle Fire device can now use a simple tool called Kindle Fire Utility that automates the rooting process, market installation, recovery installation (the new TW 2.0 touch based recovery) and much more, (thanks to XDA-Developers forum member VashypoohAptly). In this post I will tell you how to use this simple tool for  single click root, recover and market installation on you Kindle Fire device.

Earlier, rooting your Kindle fire device required the installation of the ADB drivers, which was quite a tricky business. The tool now includes the drivers packed within a .bat file and all you have to do is to run that file for installing the drivers, so that the tool can now be recognize by your Kindle Fire device.

According to the developer, the tool offers the following procedure:

  • Automatic elevation to root for tool operations.
  • Auto detect current boot mode.
  • Auto Detect ADB/Fastboot Online/Offline.
  • Auto download update.zip from Amazon.
  • Auto download and install TWRP Recovery.
  • Manage current boot modes.
  • Manage Read/Write.
  • Install Google Apps/Market/Go Launcher EX.
  • Lock/Unlock the Wallpaper from being changed.

The instructions for this process are extremely simple. Once the device is connected, you’re good to go with the various features that you can initiate simply by pressing the respective number (i.e. 1, 2, 3, 4…) as seen in the tool’s window. Some features will require your kindle fire to be rooted to work, such as recovery installation, market installation and more.
