How To Deactivate & Activate User Accounts In Windows Home Server 2011 Vail

It is always a good idea to deactivate server accounts which may not be in use to cover up any potential security loopholes. Such accounts can naturally be activated anytime when needed. In this post I will tell you how to deactivate and activate User accounts in Windows Home Server2011.

Open the Dashboard, go to the Users tab, select a user name and right click on it. From the right-click menu, select “Deactivate the User Account”. Other functions in this context menu allow managing user rights and deleting an account. The same option will allow you to activate the account if it is deactivated. In such a case, the right click menu option will change into the Activation option.
