how to keep citrix session alive from client side? any free software to keep interacting with citrix server to let citrix server realize this session is still alive?
Difficulty is that Citrix server manager doesn’t agree to set timeout of my account to “never”. I have to think a way from client side to keep my session alive. I am running batch mode overnight simulation program and getting auto-logoff after no human interaction is detected by the citrix server. Thanks a lot.

Not sure if it would work for your situation, but Microsoft actually published a VB script to prevent the screensaver from coming on, which sounds like it might do the trick.  You would just copy and paste this into a Text file and save it with a .vbs extention, then double-click the file inside your Citrix session to launch it.  It should then keep a command window open in the background.  Then every 60 seconds, this script will generate an instance if IE lasting just 1 ssecond, then terminiate the instance.  Here is the script:
‘—————————-Beginning of script ——————-
If LCase(Right(Wscript.FullName, 11)) = “wscript.exe” Then
strPath = Wscript.ScriptFullName
strCommand = “%comspec% /k cscript  ” & Chr(34) & strPath & chr(34)
Set objShell = CreateObject(“Wscript.Shell”)
objShell.Run(strCommand)
Wscript.Quit
End If

Do While True
Set objIE = CreateObject(“InternetExplorer.Application”)
Wscript.Sleep 1000
objIE.Quit
Wscript.Sleep 60000
Loop
‘—————————-End of script ——————-
