Devpad is an open source developers’ Notepad which supports creating and editing C++, Html, Java, PHP, XML, HTML and plain text files. It is a tabbed notepad which can be handy to work on a number of files from the same or different development platforms within convenient tabs.
When Devpad is launched it displays a transparent background and does not display any text document or blank page. Click New button and select a development platform. When you select a platform, you are provided with additional sub-options. For example, if you select HTML, you are provide with the option to create a HTM or HTML file.
Devpad aims to combine multiple development platform with tab support and adds a few additional features such as syntax highlighting and line numbering, to help single out important areas of the code.
You can also import existing files from supported formats (e.g. HTML JavaScripts,PHP, XML, etc) from the Open option. Files can also be printed from the Print button on the top. In case you want to view the notepad with fewer objects, you can disable the toolbar and status bar from View drop down menu.
