How To Make Windows XP Look Like Linux With Linux Skin Pack

Previously I covered the Mac  OS X Lion Skin Pack which gives Windows 7  the MAC OS X Lion look. This transformation pack is from the same developer (Hamed) which makes Windows XP look like a Linux operating system. Like all Hamed’s skin packs, the Linux Skin Pack does not require theme patching software and can be installed from a simple setup file.

Note: Please bear in mind that such skin packs are difficult to uninstall and cannot be undone by  a mere system restore to revert the changes. Before installing the Lion Skin Pack, make you backup your computer to undo the changes (if desired).

To install this transformation pack, run the EXE file and proceed with the installation by clicking Next.

In the next step, accept the terms and condition to proceed further. This section also contains contact information for the developer which you can note down to provide him with feedback.

To install the theme pack, hit Next. You can optionally change the folder for saving the files of this theme pack from the Change button.

Following the steps in this simple wizard will allow you to install the Linux Skin Pack, which will transform your Windows XP into a Linux like system.

Post Update: This skin pack is no longer available, you can download the Ubuntu Skin Pack for XP instead (see below link).
