MetroTwit is a desktop client for Twitter which has been inspired from Microsoft’s Windows 8 Metro UI design. It has an elegant user interface with the option to change interface skins. MetroTwit has many useful features like TweetDeck, such as system tray alerts, an easy to use and clean interface, time delay configuration option for alerts, skinable interface, Windows 7 taskbar integration, re-orderable and resizable columns, etc.
To use Metrotwit, select Sign In To Twitter In Browser option. This will redirect you to login and authorize MetroTwit application via your default browser. Once the MetroTwit application is authorized, you will be given a code, enter this code and click Sign In. If you are having problems using the code, then copy and paste the given URL from the Sign in menu to a browser.
The main interface provides a number of options to check your followers, Twitter trends, search Twitter, adjust settings, etc. Most of these options are located at the bottom of the interface. To configure MetroTwit settings, click on the MetroTwit icon on the top left corner of the main interface.
The Settings menu allows you to change MetroTwit theme, timeline refresh interval, spell-check, auto-complete, desktop alerts/sounds, MetroTwit synchronization, URL shortening service and other settings.
You will receive system tray notifications for all your Twitter updates as long as you are logged into MetroTwit.

To read more tweets, scroll down and more will appear almost instantly.
Read excerpts from new tweet updates as they cycle through in the notifications. If you run out of time, hover over the notifications to stop the countdown to read even more.
