Rainmeter is a desktop customization software which adds many useful widgets to your desktop with many feature rich skins. Omnimo is a Rainmeter skin which bring the Windows Phone 7 and Windows 8 style start menu toWindows 7, Vista and XP . Like all Rainmeter skins it is highly customizable and has many useful features like widgets for weather, Gmail, PayPal, application launchers and much more.
Before installing Omnimo, you will first require installing Rainmeter 2.1 (Download Rainmeter). After that, launch the Setup.rmskin file from the Omnimo folder to start the installation wizard. Click Install to apply the theme to Rainmeter.
From the welcome screen of the wizard, select desired options and click the Arrow button to proceed further. For example, you can choose a 24 hour clock, Fahrenheit weather view, disable desktop icons and optionally add a weather code for your location (for the weather widget). In case you disable the icons, they will disappear as long is Rainmeter is running. To bring the icons back, exit Rainmeter from the system tray.
In the next step, select a language to proceed further with the installation of the skin.
Omnimo comes with three different theme styles. Select a theme and then a resolution to complete the installation of the skin.
The theme will load immediately after your configurations are complete. All widgets appear on the left hand side menu. You can click on the squares at the bottom to view more options like RSS feeds, world clock, system resource monitor, etc.
Hovering the mouse over a widget will give you more configuration options. You can launch browsers, MS Office programs, set a weather location, get Gmail account notifications and much more.
To further customize Omnimo, click on the arrow button on top,followed by the Paintbox button. This will open a window with options to change the color and style of the theme and to add more shortcuts to Omnimo.
Omnimo requires at least Rainmeter 2.1 to work and can be used with
