Elden Ring DLC SteamDB leak & Release date speculation

A new Elden Ring DLC leak has been discovered in the SteamDB, hinting at a potentially massive update. Read on for more information.

Elden Ring DLC SteamDB leak

As Elden Ring approaches its first birthday, fans are eagerly anticipating any upcoming DLC. While nothing has been confirmed as of yet, a series of updates and leaks in recent months have fans convinced that an announcement is imminent, with all signs pointing to the game’s one-year anniversary event later this month as the ideal venue for FromSoftware to do so.

Another update to Elden Ring’s SteamDB page suggests as much, but whether this will be a full DLC expansion remains unknown. Last week, four packages linked to Elden Ring’s Steam Store page were updated. The change was first noticed by u/ashen on the GamingLeaksAndrumors subreddit, but it is not yet visible to the general public.

These packages include information from the game’s store page, such as images, prices, and simple text. What’s more, these packages have only ever been updated twice: once when the game was first released, and again when the Colosseum update was released. A dataminer for the Elden Ring also discovered that two of the packages that should redirect you to the store page instead send you back to the Home page. This implies that the store pages are for something that has not yet been revealed.

It’s best not to get too excited, but it looks like FromSoftware is getting ready for something new on Elden Ring’s store pages. We don’t know for sure if that’s the rumored expansion, but we probably won’t have to wait too long to find out.

Elden Ring DLC release date speculation

There is no official confirmed release date for the Elden Ring paid DLC at the time of writing, but you can find our speculation below.

Based on previous SoulsBorne titles, we know that FromSoftware typically takes less than a year to produce a large piece of DLC content, often seen as full expansions, for their titles; with the exception of Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice.

Given the release date of February 25, 2022 for Elden Ring and previous trends in FromSoftware games, we can safely assume that the first DLC will arrive before February 25, 2023.

Whatever the case, we still have to wait for official word from FromSoftware.
