Problem : Remove InstallState file because there are no installers
I keep getting this error when trying to install a windows service through the installutil.exe in Vista under my 2.0 framework library. Do I need some type of install class etc? I have went through all the google posts but can’t seem to figure out what I need to do so I can see it as a service listed.
It also says something along the lines of “No public installers…RunInstallerAttribute Yes”
Solution: Remove InstallState file because there are no installers
run the instaillutil which is under framework 2.0 directory. By default it will get from 1.1 if you have both 1.1 and 2.0
