Arlecchino, the enigmatic Harbinger known as The Knave, has yet to be officially announced as a playable character in Genshin Impact. However, numerous leaks have painted a picture of her potential arrival, abilities, and playstyle.
Genshin Impact Arlecchino Release Date
Leaks suggest Arlecchino will grace Teyvat in Version 4.5, which is expected to start on April 24th, 2024, at 11:00 AM (UTC+8).
Following the typical update format, her release could occur on either April 24th during Phase 1 or May 15th during Phase 2. However, based on past trends, she is more likely to arrive in Phase 1.
Element & Weapon
Leaks point towards Arlecchino wielding the power of Pyro. This fiery element aligns with her affiliation with the Fatui, known for their manipulation of elemental energies. As for her weapon of choice, she’s rumored to be a skilled user of the Polearm, allowing her to excel in mid-range combat.
Abilities & Gameplay
This highly anticipated character is a 5-Star Pyro user who wields a polearm. Leaks suggest she excels in the role of a Pyro DPS, particularly in compositions that don’t rely on healers. This is because Arlecchino possesses a unique self-healing mechanic tied to her kit. Here’s a breakdown of her leaked abilities:
- Element: Pyro
- Rarity: 5-Star
- Weapon: Polearm
Passive Talents
- Cinders Alone Shall Nourish: Grants Arlecchino a 40% Pyro damage bonus while in combat. Additionally, her healing is restricted to her Elemental Burst, Balemoon Rising.
- Agony Alone May Be Repaid: Blood-Debt Directives function as follows:
- Defeating an enemy marked with a Directive grants Arlecchino a Life Bond, restoring 70% of her max HP.
- After five seconds, Directives transform into Blood-Debt Dues. Absorbing these grants a Life Bond worth 70% of her max HP.
- Life Bonds acquired through these methods have a cap, not exceeding the limit set by her Elemental Skill, All is Ash.
- Strength Alone Can Defend: Boosts Arlecchino’s Elemental and Physical Resistance by 1% for every 100 Attack exceeding 1000, up to a maximum of 20% bonus Resistance for each type.
Normal Attack: Invitation to a Beheading
This attack consists of up to six consecutive strikes. Her plunging attack functions similarly to most characters. However, holding the attack button consumes stamina and unleashes a charged dash towards an enemy, followed by a single cleave. Holding the button further allows Arlecchino to maintain a high-speed movement state for up to three seconds.
When Arlecchino’s Bond of Life (a unique HP-based resource) reaches 20% or higher, she enters the Masque of the Red Death state. In this empowered form, her normal, charged, and plunging attacks transform into fiery assaults, dealing devastating Pyro damage. However, this fiery transformation consumes a portion of her Bond of Life with each hit.
Elemental Skill: All is Ash
Arlecchino summons Balemoon Bloodfire, dealing Pyro damage to nearby enemies and performing a dashing cleave against a single target, dealing additional Pyro damage in an area. Enemies hit by this attack receive the Blood-Debt Directive status.
Blood-Debt Directive Effects
- Lasts 30 seconds and deals periodic Pyro damage over time.
- Absorbed by Arlecchino through charged attacks or her Elemental Burst (Balemoon Rising).
- Each absorbed Directive grants her Bond of Life, up to a maximum based on a duration window.
- Using the Elemental Skill again resets the duration and Bond of Life gain limit.
Elemental Burst: Balemoon Rising
Arlecchino unleashes the power of Balemoon Bloodfire, dealing Pyro damage in an area, clearing the cooldown of All is Ash, and healing herself based on her Bond of Life and attack stat.
