Where to Find Thrumbo for Mystic Carrion in Baldur’s Gate 3

Finding Mystic Carrion

As you explore the vast world of Baldur’s Gate, you’ll come across Philgrave’s Mansion by the sea. Inside lives Mystic Carrion, a necromancer with a unique request. He wants you to find his missing helper, Thrumbo, who escaped.

Locating Thrumbo’s Hidden Spot

Thrumbo is hiding northeast of Philgrave’s Mansion, in a little house near the Guildhall Entrance. To get there, sneak past the guards and go up to the mansion’s top floor. Look for a Beggar’s Portrait on the floor. If you notice something hidden, it’s a note that tells you where Thrumbo is – a beach nearby, where he plans to get a boat for freedom. The exact spot is at X: 56 and Y: -120.

Facing a Choice

Prepare for a fight on the beach’s east side, where you’ll face fish-like creatures called Sahuagin. After you beat them, head to the house next to the pier. Inside, check the wardrobe to find Thrumbo. Here’s where the tough part comes in: you’ll learn about Mystic Carrion’s dark past. Now, you have a big choice to make. Do you take Thrumbo back to Carrion, or do you stand up against Carrion himself?

Two Paths: Rewards and Progress

Your choice is crucial. If you bring Thrumbo back, you’ll get a special weapon, the Torch of Revocation, which deals powerful damage. You’ll also progress in another quest, the Free the Artist questline.

If you decide to fight Mystic Carrion, you’re in for a tough battle. But if you defeat him, you’ll get the Torch of Revocation as a reward.

In Baldur’s Gate 3, Thrumbo and Mystic Carrion’s stories are connected. Your choices shape what happens to them and how your adventure goes. So, get out there, explore, and make your mark on this amazing world!
