Starfield Guide – How to Gain Access to Secure Storage in “Distilling Confidence” Quest
To initiate the “Distilling Confidence” mission, players must visit The Viewport bar in New Atlantis and speak with Nyssa. She will explain that her package has been seized by UC Security and requests the player’s help in recovering it.
The next step is to access the secure storage facility where Nyssa’s package is being held. The facility is located in Jemison, and a waypoint will guide players to its entrance. Initially, the door will be locked, and a man will inform players that entry is not possible.
Option 1: Persuasion
Players can attempt to persuade the man guarding the entrance to let them in. Engage in conversation with Emin Macar, the manager of the storage room, and successfully pass persuasion checks to convince him to open the door.
Option 2: Hacking
Alternatively, players can use a Digipick to hack the door when there are no witnesses. Locate a nearby computer and hack into it using the Digipick, regardless of the player’s Security skill level.
Option 3: Progress through Other Missions
If players are unable to access the secure storage facility through persuasion or hacking, they can progress through other missions on Jemison, unlocking the necessary prerequisites to gain entry.
Mission Progression:
Players should focus on completing the following missions to obtain access to the secure storage room:
- A Tree Grows In New Atlantis: Begin this mission and progress through its phases, being patient as each step is time-gated.
- Tapping The Grid: This mission should activate as players explore New Atlantis. Help Reyez uncover the mysteries of The Well.
- Alternating Currents: After completing Tapping The Grid, interact with Reyez as she walks away to initiate this mission.
- Keeping the Peace: While working on Alternating Currents, players will encounter a security guard instructing them to contact Sergeant Yumi. Assist Sergeant Yumi with security-related tasks until he is willing to provide a key to the secure storage room.
Once players have gained access to the secure storage room, locate Nyssa’s package and retrieve it. Then, return to The Viewport bar and deliver the package to Nyssa to complete the mission.
