Diablo Immortal Information Livestream

Before diving into the details of Diablo 4 Season 1, mark your calendars for July 6 at 11 am PDT / 2 pm EDT / 7 pm BST, as Blizzard will host a dev livestream on the game’s official YouTube and Twitch channels.

Diablo 4 Season 1 Release Date

The release is expected in mid-July, giving ample time for players to experience the base game before immersing themselves in the new content. While the exact date remains undisclosed, Rod Fergusson, the game’s general manager, has assured the community that it will be revealed soon, leaving fans on the edge of their seats.

Diablo 4 Season 1 Battle Pass

Accompanying the exciting content, Season 1 introduces the game’s first-ever Battle Pass. Blizzard emphasizes that the Battle Pass is optional to purchase, with numerous free tiers (27 in total) accessible to all players. For those opting for the paid version, the Battle Pass includes a staggering 63 tiers of exclusive rewards

The Battle Pass offers three options to players:

  • Free Tier: This standard tier is accessible to all players, allowing progression through 27 tiers.
  • Premium Tier: Costing approximately $10, this version provides access to all 63 tiers.
  • Accelerated Tier: Priced around $25, this option unlocks exclusive content and includes 20 tier skips and a unique cosmetic item.

Players can progressively level up their Battle Pass simply by playing Diablo 4.  Additionally, the Season Journey provides an alternative means to rank up the Battle Pass by completing objectives within Chapters, rewarded with Favor—a special currency used to advance through tiers more swiftly. Furthermore, each season is slated to last approximately three months, aligning with the usual quarterly schedule of four seasons per year.

New Character Requirement

To participate in Season 1, players must create a new character, a decision that has sparked some debate. However, those who have completed the campaign on at least one character will have the option to skip the campaign and dive straight into the new content. Furthermore, players will retain access to Waypoints, Renown, Altars of Lilith, and map discoveries from prior playthroughs, adding a sense of continuity to their Diablo 4 journey.

Cosmetic Rewards and Season Blessings

Diablo 4’s Battle Pass primarily offers cosmetic rewards, such as character cosmetics, emotes, titles, and more. Additionally, players can earn Season Boosts, XP boosters for their characters, and Smoldering Ashes used to unlock Season Blessings. These Blessings grant bonus XP, Gold, or Obols while active, allowing players to earn additional rewards simultaneously during gameplay.

That’s everything you need to know about the upcoming season of Diablo 4.
