According to Croix’s revelations, the Version 1.6 update will feature two distinct phases of character re-runs. In the first half, players can expect the return of the formidable duo – Ruan Mei and Blade – as the five-star banner characters. The second phase will showcase Dr. Ratio and Kafka as the sought-after characters for players to pursue.

The leak has also triggered a sense of conflict among players, as it means they will have to choose between pursuing the new characters or focusing on the Stellaron Hunters.
In the history of Honkai: Star Rail, there have been only two instances of banner character re-runs. Seele was re-run in Version 1.4, while Silver Wolf made a return in Version 1.5. These characters have proven to be significant revenue generators for the game, with Jing Yuan ranking third in terms of banner earnings. As a result, many players believed that Jing Yuan would be the next character in line for a re-run. However, if the leak is accurate and Version 1.6 does feature Blade and Kafka’s re-runs, it suggests that these characters will play pivotal roles in the main story or limited-time events of the upcoming update.
