WoW Classic Season of Discovery Healer Tier List

B Mage, Discipline Priest

Healer Tier List Breakdown

Let’s take a closer look at each spec:

Holy Priest

Holy Priest is still the best healer in WoW Classic, and even with the changes to other healers, it is only going to get better. One of the things that makes Holy Priest so good is its class racials (like Fear Ward). In Season of Discovery, these racials will be learnable by all priests, making them even more powerful.

Resto Druid

Resto Druids are formidable healers, and if we were heading into a 40-person raid tier, they would be at the top tier. However, since the initial raids will likely be on a smaller scale, Druids will remain in the A tier for now.

Holy Paladin

Holy Paladins are still looking promising in the Season of Discovery. While some changes in the season will primarily address Retribution and Protection Paladins, Holy Paladins will still bring significant healing power.

Resto Shaman

Shamans will see some improvements in the Season of Discovery, but they won’t immediately rise to the top. The addition of Healing Rain is a significant update for Shamans and will help bridge the gap between them and other specs.

Mage

Mages, while not traditionally healers, can provide support healing in certain scenarios. While they may not be able to compete with dedicated healers, having a Mage in the group can add a fun dynamic to gameplay.

Discipline Priest

While Holy specialization will still be the preferred choice initially, as the Season of Discovery progresses and the level gap widens, Discipline and Holy Priests will merge into one.

Feral Druid

Druids are set to receive substantial upgrades in the Season of Discovery, propelling them to the top of the tanking hierarchy. With their versatility and unique abilities, Feral Druids are expected to shine in this season.

Warrior

Warriors continue to showcase their strength with formidable defensive capabilities, reliable cooldowns, and considerable damage output. Protection Warriors are poised to excel in the Season of Discovery, especially with the introduction of new Rune powers that fill gaps in their toolkit.

Paladin

Paladins, having long been without a taunt ability, finally acquire this crucial tool, making them a valuable addition to the tanking rotation. With exceptional group AOE capabilities and solid defensive power, Paladins are expected to shine in the early game.

Shaman, Rogue, and Warlock

Regarding Shaman, Rogue, and Warlock, it is still too early to provide definitive assessments.

Shaman, benefiting from wearing Mail armor and tanking with a shield, is anticipated to have improved viability. Rogues will rely on an avoidance-based tanking approach, while Warlocks are expected to resemble Druids in their tanking style. These classes offer a unique and exciting tanking experience, adding a touch of flavor to the gameplay.

Keep in mind that these tier lists reflect personal opinions and should be regarded as a reference. Choose the playstyle that brings you the most enjoyment and relish your time in WoW Classic Season of Discovery.
