Problem : SPF and PTR Record Question with Network Solutions

Hello,

I have my domain registered through Network Solutions and I am trying to add a PTR record for my email server (63.193.177.75).  When I go into their advanced DNS settings, the only place I can see that I could do this is as a TXT record.  I am not familiar with TXT or SPF records and would like to see if anyone has a suggestion as to how to input a PTR record in their format.  Their format is as follows:

(Host)______  (Domain Name)  ovcdc.com   (TTL)  7200   (Text)  _________________________

Thanks,

Solution: SPF and PTR Record Question with Network Solutions

reverse DNS (PTR) zones are managed by the ISP that assigns you your IP address(es).

Contact your ISP to have them change any reverse DNS records.

For more information about SPF (a seperate issue/use) check out www.openspf.org, follow the instructions for creating an SPF record, and paste the result into your DNS as a TXT record.
