It looks as if there are some damaged history objects here? Wondering how I would go about going into the system and delete old history log files. Would this solve the problem?
thanks
Solution: CPF8198 Error Message – Damage object found
You need to watch your system carefully to see if more damage occurs, which could indicate that there is a serious problem such as a failing disk drive or operating system issue. Watch for this message and check the system history log for more occurences of it.
Look to see what object is damaged. Depending on what object it is, you can
-restore it from a backup previous to the damage
-delete and re-create it
-run the Reclaim Storage (RCLSTG) command to attempt to repair it (Note that RCLSTG requires a dedicated system and will run for a long time, possibly several hours)
I would recommend doing a full system save using option 21 from the SAVE menu. Check the joblog of this save and look for more instances of damage. The save does not guarantee that to find all types of damage, but it does touch every object on the system, and is a good idea in case more damage is about to occur.
A couple of special cases:
Are you using any high availability software? If so, what product?
Are you using any message monitoring software? If so, what product?
I have seen rare cases where the above have created damage on a regular basis.
