Paper Shadows A-Foraging presents players with a top-down puzzle where the objective is to guide either Guoba or Yuegui to a specific target. The target item varies from level to level, ranging from Fowl to Matsutake mushrooms in the initial stages.
The twist lies in the limited number of steps available to Guoba or Yuegui. These steps strictly measure the distance they can travel, allowing for strategic backtracking to reclaim steps. Additionally, environmental changes, such as moving crates, remain permanent throughout the puzzle.

Stage 2: Wandering Fowl Warm and Cool
- Start by guiding Yuegui to obtain the key. Move towards the key and push the nearby crate until it touches the key, collecting it in the process.
- Return to the starting point and follow a direct path to the fowl. You’ll have enough moves to reach the objective once the key is acquired.
Stage 3: Sealed Flavors of the Sea
- Begin by moving leftward and navigate to the crate. Push the crate as far as possible in this direction.
- Retrace your steps and head towards the key. Push the crate towards the key’s location to collect it.
- Finally, backtrack slightly and proceed towards your objectives to complete the stage.
