Genshin Impact leak reveals more details about two Fatui Harbingers

Snezhnaya, in the frozen north of Genshin Impact, is where we are first introduced to the Fatui, an elite group whose mission is to collect the mystical Gnoses held by each region’s Archon. Already in Genshin Impact, players have had the opportunity to do battle with three of the eleven leaders who make up the elite Harbingers of the Fatui. Fans were led to believe that the other Fatui would become playable after the success of two of their number, Tartaglia and Wanderer. However, the future of two well-known Harbingers now seems uncertain.

The fates of Fatui Harbingers Dottore and Arlecchino have been further clarified thanks to a new leak from the well-known Genshin Impact leaker group Team China. The leak states that both “Lunatic” and “Traitor” Fatui Harbingers cannot be played as their in-game models are modified NPC models. Dottore appears several times throughout the Sumeru region’s Archon Quest, serving as one of Genshin Impact’s newest antagonists. Arlecchino is expected to play a significant role in the story for the upcoming Fontaine region.

Fans may be disappointed to learn that neither Fatui member will be playable in light of Team China’s reveal, but another well-known Genshin Impact leaker, Tao, provides some solace. According to Tao’s latest post, it appears that the two characters were not intended for use in Fontaine, rather than being cut entirely. It wouldn’t be the first time a Harbinger appeared in the story but didn’t become playable.

While Arlecchino and Dottore are unlikely to be playable anytime soon, Genshin Impact has already seen numerous leaks about roster expansions in Fontaine. Previous leaks have revealed that more than ten Fontaine characters are expected to join the game after Version 4.0 is released later this year. Several older regions are also said to be getting new characters, including much-desired additions like Mondstadt’s Varka. Fatui Harbingers fans should have plenty of time to save up their Primogems for the next member.
