Warzone 2.0 Ranked Play

The long-awaited Ranked Play in Warzone 2.0 has finally been revealed, along with its release date, ruleset, rewards, and more.

Warzone 2.0 Ranked Play – Release date

The Season 3 Reloaded update for Warzone 2.0 will introduce the new Ranked Play. The mode will go live on May 10, 2023, at 10 a.m. PT (1 p.m. ET / 6 p.m. BST / 7 p.m. CEST).

Warzone 2.0 Ranked Play – Ranking system

Players in Warzone Ranked Play will engage in battle royale matches against opponents of a similar skill level. Your match performance, as measured by your assists, eliminations, and overall match placement, will determine the number of points added to your Skill Rating. Increasing your Skill Rating will allow you to move up the ranks, or “Skill Divisions” as they are known.

There are eight different rank tiers in Warzone Ranked Play, ranging from Bronze to Top 250. Each tier, from Bronze to Crimson, has three sub-ranks.

The Warzone Ranked Play ranks are listed below, along with their Skill Rating thresholds:

  • Bronze: 0–899 SR
  • Silver: 900–2,099 SR
  • Gold: 2,100–3,599 SR
  • Platinum: 3,600–5,399 SR
  • Diamond: 5,400–7,499 SR
  • Crimson: 7,500–9,999 SR
  • Iridescent: 10,000+ SR
  • Top 250: The 250 Iridescent players with the highest SR overall

To enter a ranked match, you must pay a portion of your SR as an entry fee. This increases as you progress through the Skill Divisions. The following is a breakdown of the entry costs:

  • Bronze 1-3: No cost
  • Silver 1: –10 SR
  • Silver 2: –14 SR
  • Silver 3: –18 SR
  • Gold 1: –23 SR
  • Gold 2: –28 SR
  • Gold 3: –33 SR
  • Platinum 1: –39 SR
  • Platinum 2: –45 SR
  • Platinum 3: –51 SR
  • Diamond 1: –58 SR
  • Diamond 2: –65 SR
  • Diamond 3: –72 SR
  • Crimson 1: –80 SR
  • Crimson 2: –90 SR
  • Crimson 3: –100 SR
  • Iridescent and Top 250: –110 SR, and extra -10 SR for every 500 SR you are above 10,000, up to a max Deployment Fee of –210 SR

It’s also worth noting that, while Warzone 2.0 and Modern Warfare 2 share many systems, such as the battle pass system, the two games will have completely separate ranked modes.

Warzone Ranked ruleset

The following are the Ranked Play rules:

  • Party Size: Trios
  • Map: Al Mazrah
  • Game Mode: Battle Royale
  • Public Event restrictions (e.g. No Firesales)
  • Vehicle restrictions (e.g. No Heavy Choppers)
  • Restricted gameplay elements (e.g. no multi-circles, changes to redeploy mechanics)
  • Fixed Buy Station Inventories
  • No flinging rocks at people in the Gulag
  • Loadouts one per squad, not universal

Unfortunately, no changes have been made to the TTK. This is something IW is adamant about.

Warzone Ranked rewards

Warzone 2.0 players will earn rewards based on their Rank, which is the number beside their Gamertag ranging from 1 to 50. In Ranked Play, players will receive rewards every five Ranks. Your Rank will rise as you earn stars for completing matches.

Here are the requirements for receiving a star:

  • Top 25: 1 Star
  • Top 10: 2 Stars
  • 1st Place: 3 Stars

Fans of Ranked Play will be able to complete Placement and Eliminations challenges as well.

That is all there is to know about the Warzone Ranked release date in Warzone 2.0.
