Give Windows 7 The iOS Look With iOS Skin Pack

I have previously seen a number of Windows 7 transformation packs by Hamed such as the Ubuntu 11.10, Mac OS X, Windows 8 and Android Skin Pack. He just made another skin pack to replicate the iOS look for Windows 7, called the iOS Skin Pack. In this post I will walk you through the process of installing this great new transformation pack by Hamed.

Note: Please bear in mind that such skin packs are difficult to uninstall and cannot be undone by using system restore to revert the changes. Before installing the iOS Skin Pack, make sure that you backup your computer to undo the changes (if required). Also make sure that UAC (User Account Control) is disabled. For complete uninstallation instructions, see my post: How To Uninstall A Windows Transformation Pack Skin.

Step 1: Launch the setup and follow the installation wizard. In the first step you will be presented with general guidelines, Click Next to continue.

Step 2: Accept the terms and conditions. This section also contains contact information for the developer.

Step 3: Select a quick installation option or click custom to remove some options. For example, you may not wish to set the skin pack page as your default home page. Setting the skin pack page as the default home page can help support the developer, since he may be earning ad revenue from his skin pack page or would like to receive more traffic and/or feedback. Click Next to continue.

Step 4: Now, select installation options such as the UXTheme Patch, files and extra items. You may optionally uncheck some items (such as wallpapers and third-party applications), before proceeding. Select all or some of these options and click Install to start the installation process.

Once this transformation pack is installed, your Windows 7 desktop will get the iOS look. See below screenshots for a demonstration.
