Diablo 4 on Steam Deck – Compatibility & performance
You can play Diablo 4 on a Steam Deck, but the role-playing game isn’t available through the Steam client. Unfortunately, similar to previous Blizzard releases, it doesn’t appear to be coming to that platform any time soon either. That doesn’t mean it won’t work; you’ll just have to download the game in a different way.

According to a Reddit thread, all reports indicate that Diablo 4 performs admirably on the Steam Deck. This is from playing the game on the handheld during the Beta period. The majority of people in the thread achieved 60 FPS while playing on low graphics settings. Others, on the other hand, achieved 40 FPS on moderate graphics settings.

You can get Diablo 4 on the Steam Deck by installing Battle.net on your device. If you’ve played any other Blizzard games on your Steam Deck, such as Overwatch or World of Warcraft, you’ve probably already downloaded this.
Here’s how to set up Diablo 4 on Steam Deck.

- Launch Desktop Mode on the Steam Deck.
- Go to the Discover Icon, search for Lutris, and install it.
- When it’s done, open it and click on the plus sign in Lutris
- Search and install Battle.net
- Start the Steam desktop app while still in desktop mode.
- You’ll see a games tab at the top of the page. Click Add a Non-Steam Game to My Library.
- From here, a new window called Add a Game will open and show your games. Just choose Lutris, and you’ll be ready to go into a dungeon.
That’s all. Diablo 4 is now running on your Steam Deck. Have fun with it!
