HoYoVerse has unveiled two exciting new characters coming to Teyvat in Genshin Impact’s upcoming Version 4.4: Xianyun and Gaming. Both hailing from the vibrant nation of Liyue, these fresh faces are sure to shake up the game’s roster and offer unique gameplay experiences for Travelers.

Genshin Impact Xianyun

Release Date

Xianyun will arrive alongside the rerun banner of Nahida on January 31st, marking the first phase of Version 4.4.

Weapon

According to leaks from Chalice Leaks, Cloud Retainer is likely to be a Catalyst unit, wielding a signature weapon called “Crane’s Echoing Call.” This elegant Catalyst boasts a staggering 741 ATK at level 90, and its passive sings a song of support, granting a Plunging Attack DMG bonus to all party members. With such a potent weapon in hand, Xianyun’s aerial prowess will reach new heights.

Element

Xianyun’s element is Anemo, adding to the excitement as Anemo characters are relatively rare in Genshin Impact, and her connection to the crane in Liyue brings a unique charm to her character.

Abilities

  • Normal Attack: Summons swirling winds to perform up to 4 attacks, dealing Anemo DMG.
  • Charged Attack: Consumes a certain amount of Stamina and launches a Breeze Bolt in a straight line that deals Anemo DMG to opponents along its path.
  • Plunging Attack: Gathers the power of Anemo and plunges towards the ground from mid-air, damaging all opponents in her path. Deals AoE Anemo DMG upon impact with the ground.
  • Elemental Skill: White Clouds at Dawn: Take to the skies with a series of three leaps, transforming into a majestic crane to unleash devastating AoE Anemo attacks with each Normal or Plunging Attack. The more charges used, the wider the attack range and the greater the damage dealt.
  • Elemental Burst: Stars Gather at Dusk: Summon a powerful gust of wind that heals the entire team and creates the “Starwicker” mechanism. This floating contraption follows the active character, providing periodic heals based on Xianyun’s ATK, while also granting a buff that increases jump height. The “Starwicker” even packs a punch, consuming stacks of “Adeptal Assistance” to deal AoE Anemo damage with each plunge attack performed by the active character.
  • Passive Skills:
    • Crane Form Crane Form: Increases gliding SPD for your own party members by 15%. Not stackable with Passive Talents that provide the exact same effects.
    • Galefeather Pursuit: Each opponent hit by Driftcloud Waves from White Clouds at Dawn will grant all nearby party members 1 stack of Storm Pinion for 20s. Max 4 stacks. These will cause the characters’ Plunging Attack CRIT Rate to increase by 4%/6%/8%/10% respectively. Each Storm Pinion created by hitting an opponent has an independent duration.
    • Consider, the Adeptus in Her Realm: When the Starwicker created by Stars Gather at Dusk has Adeptal Assistance stacks, nearby active characters’ Plunging Attack shockwave DMG will be increased by 200% of Xianyun’s ATK. The maximum DMG increase that can be achieved this way is 9,000. Each Plunging Attack shockwave DMG instance can only apply this increased DMG effect to a single opponent. Each character can trigger this effect once every 0.4s.

Constellations

  • C1: Adds an extra charge to Elemental Skill, allowing Xianyun to leap one additional time.
  • C2: After using Elemental Skill, Xianyun’s ATK increases by 20% for 15 seconds. Additionally, the attack shockwave DMG bonus from her passive is increased to 360% of Xianyun’s ATK, now capped at 18,000.
  • C3: Increases Elemental Burst level by 3.
  • C4: After leaping in the air with Elemental Burst, the trail left behind heals party members based on the number of leaps Xianyun took. Healing ranges from 50% to 150% of her ATK, depending on the number of leaps (1/2/3).
  • C5: Increases Elemental Skill level by 3.
  • C6: Increases CRIT DMG of Elemental Skill by 15%/35%/70% based on the number of leaps Xianyun took through her Elemental Skill. Additionally, her Elemental Skill does not enter cooldown for 16 seconds after using Elemental Burst.
