How to get the Rebreather in Sons of the Forest
Assuming that obtaining the Rebreather in Sons of the Forest works the same way as it did in The Forest. You’ll most likely need to scout out a specific cave in the game, where you can expect to see the life-saving apparatus by a skeleton who clearly wasn’t saved by it. If you see some air canisters scattered around the area, you’re probably close to the rebreather.
The rebreather was discovered in ‘Cave 5’ of The Forest. Take it as a hint if this new game employs a similar system.
How to use the Rebreather
You can breathe underwater with the Rebreather. When you dive, you’ll deplete your air canisters rather than your own oxygen reserves, allowing you to stay submerged for as long as you still have air to breathe.
Canisters are commonly discovered near dive sites. You’ll probably find a few near the Rebreather to get you started, but you’ll soon need to look for more.
