Burn CD, DVD and Blu-ray In Ubuntu With Silicon Empire

Silicon Empire is a CD, DVD and Blu-ray burning/management suite for Ubuntu Linux. It can burn CD, DVD and Blu-Ray discs, and mount disc images from ISO, NRG, BIN, MDF and IMG formats. It’s main features include, burning, copying, and erasing discs, however, it also has a built-in image viewer and music player. You will find options to copy, burn , erase, and mount discs and disc images on the main interface. All options are separated in convenient categories and sub-categories for easy management and identification of available features.

From the CD tab, you can copy a disc, burn a data disc, add items to the library and mount CD images.

Just add files and folders to burn a data disc from “Data Disc” option (within CD or DVD tabs). After adding files and folders to burn, click Next.

This will start the burning process. Silicon supports tabs, therefore, you can work on multiple tasks simultaneously in separate tabs.

From the DVD tab you can select the Erase option for deleting an inserted re-writable DVD. The rest of the options within this tab as the CD tab.

Similarly, the Image tab allows mounting disc images for viewing their content.

You can also add items to the Silicon library from the Library option located in numerous tabs.

It’s build-in Music player can be used to scan and play music files from your systems folders.

The Image viewer, on the other hand, allows you to view images by dragging and dropping pictures onto the Silicon Image viewer.

Silicon Empire is currently available for both 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Ubuntu, with a release pending for Windows, Mac and other Linux versions.
