CLI Companion Is A GUI Based Terminal For Ubuntu & Debian Beginners

Ubuntu beginners always find the Terminal to be quite confusing. CLI Companion is a GUI alternative for the Ubuntu and Debian Terminal which displays Terminal commands in a list and allows running them in a click. Previously performed commands are also stored in a searchable list to be used later on and tab support adds the utility of performing multiple Terminal tasks simultaneously in a single interface.

You can use CLI Companion like the normal Terminal and enter commands, as well as mange tasks in separate tabs located at the right-hand side . Beginners  can benefit from the Command List and instantly run any command by selecting it from the list and clicking on Run. Each command is also provided a description to help users understand it’s function.

To save a command click on Add button from main interface of the application. This will open a dialog box which will allow you to save a command with the description.

Saved commands and the ones present by default in the list can be searched using the search box. This can help new users to save a list of important commands and Pro users can benefit from this feature by saving lengthy and convoluted commands.

You can download the Deb package from the download link given below and install the application via the Ubuntu Software Center by double clicking on the Deb file.
