Problem : Unable to open Lotus Approach following install
I have installed Lotus Smartsuite both to a file server followed by a node install and a normal install. When logging on I can open lotus 123 and wordpro but when trying to open Lotus Approach I am getting the following message : “Couldn’t find SmartIcons. Please run INSTALL.EXE to install (or re-install) Lotus Approach”
This is on a windows 2000 machine.
Can anyone help ?
Solution: Unable to open Lotus Approach following install
Try this. It worked for me and the Windows 2000 machines that I take care of at work.
1. Log in as an administrator (or have your admin do this).
2. Run regedit.exe.
3. Highlight the HKEY_CURRENT_USER-Software-Lotus key.
4. Go to Registry-Export Registry File and navigate to the c:\winnt directory.
5. Save file as Lotus.reg.
6. Log in as user (you) and double-click on c:\winnt\lotus.reg. You must run this file for each user on the machine that will be using Approach.
